Areas are the MLS of Southern Arizona’s market areas, named the way our Market Pulse names them. Typical asking price is the median of the golf homes listed in that area today, shown when there are at least five.

What buyers paid

Golf community homes in recent sales.

In our Market Pulse comparison of single-family home sales across greater Tucson over the last two years, homes in a golf community or on a course sold for about 11.1% more per square foot than other homes in the same ZIP code, size range and year of sale (2,034 sales compared). It shows what buyers paid alongside the feature, not a guarantee of value.

Compare the clubs

Ventana Canyon, La Paloma, Skyline Country Club Estates, Stone Canyon, Tucson Country Club Estates, Tucson National and Dove Mountain: the course, the club and what actually comes with the home.

Gated and on the course

Golf and a gate.

Several Tucson golf communities are also gated, and some are guard-gated. See every gated community home for sale, and the guard-gated neighborhoods we cover.

On the course or near it

A golf home can mean three different things.

Some homes sit on the course. Some look onto it from across a street. Others are in a golf community without a fairway in sight. This page includes all three, and the counts above split out the homes on a course or with a course view.

In the golf communities we cover, club membership is arranged with the club, separately from buying the home. Our comparison of Tucson golf communities sets out each club and course.

Before you buy

Four things to check.

Membership

Ask the club for a dated, written proposal covering initiation, dues and any minimums, and whether there is a waiting list.

The position on the course

Fairway frontage, tee boxes, cart paths and stray balls shape daily life. Walk the yard while golfers are playing.

Two sets of costs

Club dues and homeowners association assessments are separate. Add both to the cost of owning the home.

The view you are paying for

Courses change: trees grow and holes are redesigned. Ask the club about any planned work near the home.
