The community at a glance

A closer look at Finisterra.

A Finisterra residence from our past sales. Not current inventory.

Finisterra, also called Finisterra Estates by its homeowners association, is a gated residential community in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills. The association identifies an attended gate, clubhouse, pool and spa, tennis, and pickleball as part of the community setting.

Estate homes, patio homes, and townhomes offer different ways to enjoy the setting. The position of each residence, from its driveway to its shaded outdoor spaces, is an important part of choosing a home here.

The experience

What distinguishes Finisterra.

A community name is only the beginning. Architecture, terrain, associations, views, and amenities shape the experience property by property.

01

An established community with several ways to live

The association dates Finisterra to 1981 and describes a mix of estate homes, patio homes, and townhomes across 190 lots. Its Spanish Colonial Revival clubhouse, cactus garden, orange grove, and fountains give the shared spaces a character beyond the gate. The HOA lists a heated pool and spa, a lit tennis court, and two pickleball courts; confirm current access and operations when comparing a home.

Compare the residence with the homesite

Walk the route from the driveway to the living areas and outdoor spaces. Elevation, stairs, afternoon exposure, and neighboring rooflines can make two nearby homes feel very different. Review the actual view from seated positions, not only the widest listing photograph.

03

Understand shared amenities

Ask for current association rules, assessments, and amenity access details. Check how common-area maintenance and architectural approval work alongside the owner’s responsibilities for the home, pool, landscaping, and exterior improvements.
